Associate Corporate Counsel The candidate will assist Corporate Counsel and key business constituencies in achieving viable and sustained success by providing timely, thoughtful legal and regulatory advice and related practical solutions. Will leverage real estate industry knowledge and experience to develop systems and reporting processes to identify and address legal and regulatory developments that impact the Property Manager customers. Ensure that the business and legal and compliance team are well informed and understand the real world impact of such legal and regulatory developments on customers. Keep up-to-date with MyCase product development and business initiatives, identify key legal and regulatory issues within the vertical and provide recommended solutions in partnership with Corporate Counsel. Take responsibility for MyCase terms of service and other customer-facing agreements as the business expands and evolves. Identify legal training opportunities for various departments and employees supporting the MyCase vertical and work with Corporate Counsel to develop such trainings. Ensure that the MyCase sales and customer service teams receive timely and reliable advice in response to questions from prospects and clients. Partner with company product and engineering teams in growing and supporting the technology by identifying and establishing relationships with third parties and other in-house constituencies (APM, MyCase). Identify key legal and regulatory issues that apply to or otherwise affect company and provide recommended solutions in partnership with Corporate Counsel. Identify legal training opportunities for various departments and employees supporting company and work with Corporate Counsel to develop such trainings. Ensure that company sales and customer services teams receive timely and reliable advice in response to questions from prospects and clients. Take responsibility for company terms of service and other customer-facing agreements as the business expands and evolves. Support the procurement team by reviewing and drafting large third party agreements. Provide coaching and trainings to the procurement team to enable them to review and handle small to medium sized procurement issues on their own. Assist Corporate Paralegal and Procurement Team in identifying a document management and retention system that will be implemented over the course of the fiscal year. Review existing vendor agreements and, if necessary, amend to address California Consumer Privacy Act concerns. Must have 6+ years of sophisticated legal experience. A combination of law firm and in-house experience, especially in the SaaS industry is preferred.
