Associate Corporate Counsel - Strategic Legal Affairs The candidate will be responsible for assisting senior attorneys with advising the Company on matters relating to a broad range of legal areas such as corporate, commercial, transactional, litigation, real estate, intellectual property, labor and employment, data privacy and security, company policies, document and data management, regulatory and other legal and compliance matters. Conduct document analysis and review relating to a variety of business-related situations. Perform legal research and analysis. Assist with various matters involving commercial litigation, including strategy planning and responding to discovery requests. Assist with guiding and drafting company policies. Assist the Human Resources department with compliance matters, including advice regarding worker classification and compensation, restrictive covenants, and proper responses to garnishments. Assist with legal hold management and development of data and document retention policies. Assess and mitigate risk associated with development of new business relationships, models, service offerings and/or business methods. Assist with the development and management of information privacy practices and data security procedures. Assist with keeping the Company abreast of current legal and regulatory developments and determine impact on Company services and initiatives. Assist with intellectual property matters, including trademark enforcement and copyright protection. Work collaboratively with other members of the legal department and outside counsel. Participate in other duties as assigned.

The candidate must have J.D. Degree; strong academic credentials preferred. Should preferably have 4+ years experience with major law firm, corporate law department or equivalent; Industry experience preferred. Labor and employment and/or data privacy experience strongly preferred. Must be licensed to practice law (and in good standing) in at least one jurisdiction. Must have demonstrated ability to influence business leaders and impact decision-making. Should have excellent project management skills, writing skills, listening and oral communications skills, diplomacy, finesse and interpersonal skills. Must have strong business judgment and skill in distinguishing between high and low priority legal issues. Should have customer-focused and ability to effectively communicate with and influence business leaders at all levels of the organization. Must have ability to analyze complex legal matters. Should have ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
