Senior Real Estate Counsel

Senior Real Estate Counsel Responsibilities: Review, draft and negotiate agreements such as leases, lease amendments, real estate purchase agreements, construction and design contracts and debt financing documents. Address day-to-day legal issues related to commercial property development and construction. Conduct due diligence for property acquisitions, including review of leases, environmental reports, title matters, surveys, service agreements, etc.

Qualifications: JD Degree, plus active Bar Association Membership in California. 7-12 years experience drafting and negotiating construction and design contracts, leases, real estate purchase agreements, and debt financing documents. Experience in day-to-day legal issues related to commercial property development and construction. Experience conducting due diligence for property acquisitions (i.e., review of tenant leases, environmental reports, service agreements, title and survey). Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to write business correspondence. Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to set up, automate and track data and information. Ability to self-initiate activities, coordinate tasks, and manage and follow up on projects. Extreme attention to detail. Excellent people skills and the ability to build and maintain positive, supportive working relationships and maintain an approachable, friendly demeanor. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple deadlines, and to adapt readily to changing priorities. Ability to take direction from and work effectively with senior executives and staff members, as applicable.
