Corporate Counsel The candidate provide proactive legal advice to assigned hospitals and healthcare operational units, as assigned; draft, review, and negotiate physician and nonphysician agreements; provide regulatory advice on substantive areas, including, but not limited to: Stark, anti-kickback statute, EMTALA, licensing and certification, patient care and risk management, and other areas related to healthcare operations; work collaboratively on projects or matters related to the management and administration of the Legal Department as requested from time to time by the General Counsel ("GC"), the AGC-Operations, and/or other AGCs. Identifies and analyzes legal issues, drafting key documents, presenting clear recommendations, and assuring legal compliance. To oversee and manage litigation, administrative proceedings and other regulatory (including licensure and certification) proceedings or matters as requested or assigned from time to time, including the management of outside counsel engaged to represent in the litigation or proceeding. Contributes to projects or matters related to the management and administration of the Legal Department as requested from time to time by the General Counsel ( GC ), the AGC-Operations, and/or other AGCs. Draft physician and non-physician agreements based on approved templates; advise leadership on contract negotiations; directly interface with opposing counsel to negotiate key agreements. Setting high goals for personal and group accomplishment; using measurement methods to monitor progress toward goals; tenaciously working to meet or exceed goals while deriving satisfaction from the achievement, creativity and continuous improvement. Goes the extra mile. Keeping the organizations mission, vision and values at the forefront of associate decision making and action. Encouraging others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities; facilitating the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace. Ensuring that the patient/customer perspective is a driving force behind our actions and business decisions; crafting and implementing service practices that meet patients'/customer's and own organizations needs. (Focus also includes internal and external customers.). Demonstrates breadth and/or depth of professional/technical skills and capabilities required for position; shares knowledge; sets or contributes to the Companys direction within area of expertise. Identifying opportunities and taking action to build strategic relationships between ones area and other areas, teams, department, units or organizations to help achieve business goals. Resolves issues and problems, and makes a significant contribution to team efforts. Interacting with others in a way that gives them confidence in ones intentions and those of the organization. Knowledge of planning and organizing concepts and best practices and ability to mobilize both time and resources to get things done. Understanding of the necessity of moving forward with less than perfect information and ability to flexibly and comfortably adapt to changing work demands. Understanding of the rationale behind the necessity to continually learn and grow and the ability to seek performance feedback and identify approaches to improve own performance and that of others. Knowledge of federal, state and local healthcare related laws and regulations; ability to comply with these in healthcare practices and activities. Knowledge of methods and tools used in legal analysis and ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from both legal and factual information.

The candidate should have Juris doctor or equivalent degree from an accredited law school. Must have 3 years of experience in related experience or demonstrated interest in healthcare law. Admission to State Bar where position is located or eligibility under the registered In-House Counsel provisions and licensure in good standing without any instances of suspension is required.
