Senior Counsel, IP Litigation The candidate Should have 5- 10 years of relevant experience to join Legal Team in the position of IP Litigation Counsel. The role will focus on patent, trademark and copyright matters, but counsel should expect to manage litigation of all types, including licensing issues, commercial contract disputes, entertainment-related matters, bankruptcy matters, and consumer claims. In addition, counsel will advise company on intellectual property issues and proactively develop IP strategies and assess related risks, while reporting to executives on litigation trends, costs, and outcomes. Effectively manage assigned litigation and pre-litigation matters to generate successful outcomes, including conducting initial investigation and witness interviews, drafting legal analyses and risk assessments, overseeing discovery process, preparation of witnesses for deposition and trial. Assist in development and implementation of strategic plans for assigned matters, with eye towards practical and solution-oriented counsel to relevant stakeholders. Resolve disputes with other companies and represented individuals through negotiation or mediation with or without the involvement of outside counsel. Manage complex litigation assigned to outside counsel by coordinating and directing litigation strategy and establishing and monitoring case budget. Review and edit pleadings, briefs, presentations and other documents prepared for litigation matters. Efficiently manage subpoenas and other inquiries served on or by the Company, including government agency investigations. Provide additional support for rest of Legal team, as needed. All other duties as assigned. The candidate should have J.D. from accredited law school and active state bar license required. California, Colorado or New York bar admission strongly preferred. Must have 5-10 years ? legal experience focused on complex commercial and patent litigation, and experience with patent licensing matters in particular. The ability to efficiently communicate and interact with senior level staff along with excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously are required. Experience in advising on and managing litigation within the entertainment industry preferred. Prior in-house experience preferred.
