Compliance Counsel

Compliance Counsel The candidate will be responsible for: Develop new company policies and practices and review and revise such policies on a regular basis to ensure that all are in compliance, partnering with internal departments and leadership as needed; Review proposed action plans, when/if needed to ensure compliance; Assist in representing the company in the event of administrative or law enforcement audits, investigations or litigation; Ensure corporate records are properly maintained; Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and collaborate with internal departments in the grievance process; Draft corporate resolutions; Review and negotiate operational contracts (including MSAs, procurement agreements, and requests for proposal); Keep informed of relevant legal developments and best practices as they occur and analyze their applicability to the business; and Review company policies and practices on a regular basis to ensure that all remain current and in compliance. Must have expertise in applicable laws and procedures, including data protection, anticorruption, anti-bribery, freedom of information, and document retention. Should have experience developing and implementing corporate compliance policies. Must have skill in drafting and negotiating. Experience with litigation practice and formal dispute processes preferred. D. from a top-tier law school required. Must be Licensed to practice law in at least one state. Should have 5 years of experience at a major law firm and/or in-house legal department, with experience in a large in-house compliance department preferred.
