Corporate Counsel, Franchise Responsibilities: Provides legal counsel to franchise brands and functional areas. Prepares and negotiates domestic and international license agreements and ancillary agreements (including tri-party agreements, amendments, assignments, and terminations). Maintains knowledge of key company initiatives, policies and internal practices to assist business teams in meeting business needs, while complying with legal, corporate and administrative requirements. Assists in the annual and periodic update/amendment process of Franchise Disclosure Documents. Assists in establishing policies and procedures. Prepares and negotiates arrangements with third parties in compliance with policies. Provides legal advice regarding relationships with hotel owners, franchisees, vendors and other third parties, including ensuring compliance with state franchise relationship laws. Engages with legal team and stays current with professional and industry changes.

Requirements: Law degree from an accredited law school, with excellent academic record. Bar admission, current and in good standing. 3-6 years' experience as an attorney with progressive levels of responsibility. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. Ability to identify, analyze and resolve complex legal issues, draft and negotiate complex legal transactions and appropriately consider legal and business risks. Franchise law experience is preferred.
