Regulatory Litigation Counsel Responsibilities: Primary responsibility meaning, hands-on work, not just supervising outside counsel for a wide variety of litigation matters, pre-litigation dispute resolution, internal counseling, and other legal disputes, with an emphasis on regulatory litigation and counseling. Collaborate closely with fellow Legal Team members to develop and implement regulatory litigation strategies with an eye toward impact on broader business objectives. Proactively approach all aspects of litigation and regulatory disputes, including discovery, motion practice, witness preparation, trial and appellate strategies, and settlement negotiations. Analyze pre-litigation and litigation matters to effectively participate in decisions related to resolution strategy and demonstrate an ability to understand, interpret, and apply current law and regulations to current and prospective products and services. Manage outside counsel, including tactical guidance, staffing, case management, budgeting, and alignment with broader legal strategy. Provide sound legal advice cross-functionally to other teams. Communicate effectively with regulatory bodies and other third parties. Qualifications: JD Degree from a top-tier law school and membership in at least one U.S. state Bar. 5 years practicing law at a leading law firm or government or regulatory entity. Strong preference is given to candidates with prior in-house experience and/or experience advising technology clients as outside counsel. Experience with regulatory litigation and practicing before federal, state, or local regulatory bodies. Familiarity with federal and state public records and data privacy laws. Excellent problem-solving capabilities, judgment, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive attitude to the workplace. Project manager mindset with the ability to drive cross-functional projects to resolution. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving workplace. Ability to think quickly on your feet, convey grace under pressure, and simultaneously manage complex workloads, multiple client demands, and shifting priorities. Be a resourceful self-starter and have a passion for results embody culture, and operate with high standards and ethics. An understanding of multi-modal transportation and ridesharing industries, as well as the sharing economy in general.
