Intellectual Property Attorney

Intellectual Property Attorney The candidate will aggressively and passionately defend and expand firm's brand. Principal duties will include trademark and copyright portfolio management, strategic advice to our executive management team, and counseling to highly experienced research and development team on all intellectual property, licensing, branding, marketing, labeling, and enforcement matters. Responsible for the management of our entire intellectual property portfolio, including international matters with foreign associates, and must be willing to take ownership of brand protection. Work from expanding corporate headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia and report to the Chief Legal Officer. The candidate should have significant experience at a respected law firm or corporate in-house department handling trademark and copyright application prosecution for a regulated industry. Must have 5 years of experience in US and international intellectual property law with primary emphasis on domestic and international trademark and copyright application prosecution and responding to USPTO examiner and other actions. Demonstrated experience in successfully prosecuting trademark and copyright applications is required. Must have very strong conversational, negotiation and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple matters at once, follow through and meet deadlines needed. Must have superior academic credentials. GA Bar or eligibility for registration as GA Authorized In House Counsel needed.
