Collections and Medical Billing/Insurance Appeals Attorney

Collections and Medical Billing/Insurance Appeals Attorney The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of billing representatives and overseeing the entire billing, insurance appeals, and collections process for the organization. Will primarily focus on health care billing, insurance appeals, and coverage disputes with insurance companies, as well as collections. Solid understanding of medical billing and collections, particularly for out-of-network medical providers. Collection efforts for unpaid medical services rendered and documenting patient activity and collection efforts. Adhere to firm billing and collection policies. Communicate clearly with internal and external clients, written and verbally, on billing or collection of accounts receivable. Research and provide direction on resolving billing and payment issues. Must have 3+ years of experience in legal industry with a solid knowledge of medical billing, insurance appeals, and collections. Experienced in Microsoft Windows, including Word and Excel. Familiar with MS Outlook are required. Ability to prioritize rush requests and resolve quickly are required. Must have 3-5 years of experience working in a law firm, medical practice, or health insurance company. Must have extremely strong communication skills, both verbal and written, be proficient in Excel, and be highly motivated and well organized.
