Corporate Risk & Compliance Counsel

Corporate Risk & Compliance Counsel The candidate will report to the Managing Counsel and be expected to provide legal guidance to the business at all levels of the organization. Responsibilities will be varied and are expected to include insurance program management, claims management, support to the finance and accounting team in regard to Letters of Credit and Bonds management, regulatory compliance, permit, and licensing processes and procedures, drafting and implementing corporate policies and procedures, and training employees. Should have JD degree with superior academic credentials. Should have 2 years in-house law department experience. Working knowledge of insurance policy terms and coverages, loss prevention and claims management process. Strong fundamentals in finance and a technical ability to understand insurance policies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to function as an effective member of the legal department to support risk management, compliance, and contract efforts. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships across organizational boundaries to elicit information, credibly advise, and effectively influence. Demeanor that reflects personal integrity, initiative, flexibility, responsiveness, and confidentiality in all areas of responsibility. Demonstrated ability to focus on details while maintaining the broader overall perspective. Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills. Ability to multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Business judgment and ability to assess legal risk while also providing practical advice. Member in good standing of the Wisconsin or other state bar.
