Intellectual Property Attorney

Intellectual Property Attorney The candidate will be responsible for take a leading role in shaping firms intellectual property portfolio development strategy. Coordinate and lead patent harvesting activities. Actively collaborate with outside patent counsel to draft and prosecute high-quality patents. Support litigation activities relating to intellectual property. Provide IP support on other legal matters (e.g., licensing discussions, acquisitions). Advise management on intellectual property issues. Must have Juris Doctor degree. Should have 5+ years of relevant experience with a demonstrated ability to oversee all aspects of IP portfolio development and protection. State bar membership and eligibility to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is required. Should have strong academic background in engineering (electrical engineering or computer science background preferred). Should preferably have significant experience prosecuting patents in both the law firm and in-house counsel settings.
