Legal Counsel - Contracts and IP

Legal Counsel - Contracts and IP Duties: Establish this function at Postman and ensure we are on sound legal footing with respect to customer and vendor contracts and that properly safeguard intellectual property. Take ownership of all our customer-facing commercial and IP related legal documents including our EULA, Privacy Policy, DPA, NDA, Order form, Quotes etc. Regularly revise these documents as the business needs and law changes require. Act as the single point of contact supporting our Enterprise sales team in reviewing and negotiating customer contracts. Ensure customer agreements are responded to quickly and efficiently. Consult with Security, Compliance and HR teams - both in the course of contract review and to move overall legal stance progressively forward. Create legal playbooks (for Sales first and then other functions) so some decision making can be pushed to the Sales/Sales Support team. Review and negotiate all Postman vendor contracts (software and others).

Qualifications: 5+ years of in-house legal experience in a SaaS company with overall revenue of $50+ million in ARR. Experience creating core end user and customer facing legal documents including End User License Agreements, Privacy Policies, Data Protection Agreements etc. specifically for SaaS companies with substantial enterprise customers. Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial contracts with Fortune 500 companies. Experience negotiating individual contracts of $500k or higher. In-depth understanding of the legal/contractual implications of GDPR, HiPPA and other consumer/data privacy regulations.
