Counsel - Contracts Generalist

Counsel - Contracts Generalist The candidates Duties include: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the success of business processes and implement improvements related to legal and risk management issues. Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents. Provide counsel and guidance regarding the Companys compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations and with the Companys policies and procedures. Monitor and communicate developments in relevant law, regulations and interpretations. Anticipate and identify legal issues and proactively develop effective and practical legal strategies and solutions. Author correspondence, legal memoranda, policies and reports. Provide advice in other specialized practice areas as assigned by supervisor. Handle special projects as requested by management. J.D. from an accredited law school; member in good standing of at least one state bar is required. Should have 3+ years of broad based transactional experience. Experience of the retail industry and/or procurement and supply chain management is strongly preferred. Experience establishing and/or maintaining a compliance program would be a plus. Experience advising business partners in one or more of the following substantive areas is preferred: procurement, logistics and supply chain management; consumer protection regulations; vendor compliance; product liability; trademark registration and enforcement; technology; and/or advertising.
