Corporate Staff Attorney Duties: Provide legal support to various entities and departments under the guidance of the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel. Provide legal support to Company management, including attending meetings, assessing legal, regulatory and business risk in proposed courses of action and/or policies, providing advice and guidance as to best course of action, and assisting in the documentation of elected course of action. Negotiate, prepare, review, and/or draft contracts, including customer, vendor, IT, and service provider contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and various transportation related contracts. Work with management to ensure that contracts appropriately protect the company, meet management objectives, and address customer or vendor issues. Keep management apprised of status of contract negotiations and issues, including weekly, monthly or quarterly reporting as requested. Perform special contract related projects for senior management. Maintain digital records of contracts. Review, investigate and respond to administrative complaints and charges. Provide litigation support and monitoring, including reviewing and investigating complaints and allegations, retaining outside counsel, preserving documents and evidence, ensuring litigation holds are in place, reviewing and/or drafting in conjunction with outside counsel various pleadings and/or discovery responses, assisting in the identification and preparation of witnesses and maintaining litigation files. Assist in the development and management of corporate policies and data retention policies. Assist in the monitoring and development of corporate wide compliance programs. Assist in managing requisite SEC filings as requested. Prepare corporate resolutions, consents, secretary certificates, etc., as requested. Assist in the maintenance of corporate record books. Provide information upon request regarding legal entity structure, management slates, history, etc. Maintain awareness and understanding of current laws and regulations pertinent to the trucking industry and other specific areas of responsibility.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school required. 0-3 years working experience in corporate law or contracts preferred. Experience in the transportation industry a plus. Current law license in good standing. Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, efficiently, proactively, and effectively on multiple projects under tight deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
