Legal Counsel, Real Estate Duties: Negotiating and drafting complex real estate documents for new store development. Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale contracts, acquisition agreements, ground leases, retail leases, industrial leases, build-to-suit leases, office leases, easements, right of way agreements, and construction contracts. Supporting the Logistics divisions right-of-way group in connection with an ongoing gathering system construction project, including negotiating and drafting easement and surface lease agreements. Handling legal matters related to the existing real estate portfolio (e.g. amendments, easements, licenses, etc.). Independently reviewing title and survey, drafting closing documents, coordinating closings with a title company and closing real estate acquisitions and dispositions. Drafting and negotiating general corporate transactions, as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school. Licensed, and in good standing, to practice in the state of Tennessee. 5+ years of law firm or in-house counsel experience is preferred. Expertise in retail real estate work - multiple locations, similar footprint in multiple states is preferred. Strong verbal skills and superior grammatical and writing skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability build relationships with stakeholders, including staff and external partners. Demonstrated values of honesty and integrity, respect for others, teamwork and collaboration, accountability and performance. Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
