Real Estate Attorney

Real Estate Attorney The candidate will report directly to the General Counsel and serve as lead counsel in negotiating documents for real estate acquisitions and financings in City and across the country. Handle a diverse, interesting, and challenging workload across the firms real estate portfolio, and this will be a key role within the department. Work closely with the firm staff as well as with outside counsel on a range of real estate transactions and focused primarily affordable properties. Should have a Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school. 4 years of real estate transactional experience is preferred. Must have knowledge of federal, state and City affordable housing and community development programs and regulations is a desired, including LITHC and Section 8 investments. Basic computer skills including MS Outlook, Word and Excel are required. Should have strong drafting skills. Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills are a must.
