Senior Counsel, Privacy The candidate will provide legal guidance to internal teams on privacy matters that affect the company, with an eye towards how it impacts the company globally. Review products, programs, agreements and initiatives to advise on privacy/data security, consumer protection and content/media laws and regulations. Counsel business partners on domestic and international data privacy and security laws, regulations, and industry best practices, particularly related to software and cloud services. Act as subject matter expert and resource on issues related to privacy, security and data protection. Respond to privacy and security-related customer and regulatory inquiries and investigations on a global basis and draft regulatory filings. Draft external privacy notices and disclosures. Establish and manage internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with global laws bearing on privacy and cybersecurity. Work effectively across business units and internal functions to resolve complex business and risk management issues. Lead outside counsel relationships as necessary.

The candidate should have a JD/law degree and Bar admission in at least one state. Should have 7+ years of relevant experience. Proven high-performing legal experience in an in-house environment are preferred. Strong analytical and strategic skills; ability to drive issues to a quick resolution that factors in many non-legal variables, such as brand-risk, communications, government relations, tax, insurance, finance and other business units are preferred. High degree of professional ethics and integrity is a plus.
