Healthcare Contracts Attorney Responsibilities: Provides day-to-day legal support for the Independent Retail customer segment including legal support for customer and group purchasing organization contracting and dispute resolution; Provides day to day legal support for the Alternate Site customer segment including legal support for customer and group purchasing organization contracting and dispute resolution; Supports requests for proposals and marketing initiatives; Provides health care regulatory advice and education on issues related to supply agreements and other arrangements between distributors and customers, buying groups, drug manufacturers, and other healthcare service companies; Serves as a legal advisor to business unit leadership on a wide array of topics relating to segment needs, including legal risk mitigation, customer management, strategic initiatives and compliance programs; and Frequently interacts with other internal legal, compliance, and business stakeholders across functional groups, as well as specialized outside counsel. Qualifications: JD Degree with excellent academic credentials. Member of a jurisdiction is required. 6+ years of healthcare law experience highly desired. Law firm experience combined with in-house experience preferred. Knowledge of healthcare fraud and abuse laws. Excellent commercial contracting drafting and negotiation skills. Ability to provide sound, clear legal advice within the company, including senior business executives. Ability to adapt communication style depending on the recipients level of sophistication about legal issues. Comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently. Business acumen dealing with risk management and organizational savvy. Ability to work closely with, facilitate interactions within, and influence large cross-functional teams (including representatives from other areas of the General Counsel Organization regulatory and compliance professionals, sales professionals and operations managers). Must be a team player who can develop strong working relationships and work collaboratively with internal clients and other members of the legal team.
