Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment The candidate will report to the Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment covering our Business (General & Administrative) organizations. Provide counseling and support for human resources and recruiting organizations, as well as general employment law support. Provide advice and strategic support to HR Business Partners, Employee Relations Partners, and business leaders on employee terminations, performance management, investigations, accommodations, reorganizations, and other employment-related matters. Collaborate with other attorneys on the team with respect to advice and counseling provided to HR and other cross-functional partners. Coordinate and drive completion of employment related projects, including internal process reviews, new policy roll-outs and implementation, and training programs. Draft and edit employment-related documents, correspondence, agreements and processes. Develop creative approaches to managing legal risks and resolving disputes. Manage and drive strategy on pre-litigation and litigation matters. Should have J.D. degree and membership in at least one state Bar. Must have 8+ years of experience in labor and employment law. Experience with state and federal employment law and advising and counseling clients on such law is required. Must have employment litigation experience and experience coordinating and driving to completion large-scale projects (including litigations). Should preferably have California or New York Bar membership. Familiarity with California employment law is desired. 2 years in-house experience is desired.
