Counsel, Commercial - Privacy Programs The candidate will support companys Privacy Program, with a focus on oversight and management of third party partners. This includes assisting the Privacy Program with developing, implementing and maintaining privacy controls and processes governing third party partners (e.g., service providers and platform developers), from onboarding to on-going management to off-boarding. Provide strategic business and legal advice (including from a Commercial Legal perspective) to help the Privacy Program develop, implement and maintain its third party oversight and management workstreams. Build relationships and collaborate with various teams (including legal, product, partnerships, and business development) to further cross-functional alignment/coordination and successful implementation of Privacy Program workstreams. Project manage and lead implementation of Privacy Program (and other privacy related) workstreams across the Commercial Legal team. Provide guidance to the Commercial Legal team around general privacy compliance (e.g., FTC, GDPR, and CCPA) and best practices. Work extended hours when necessary to complete projects in a timely fashion. Potential travel as and when required. The candidate should have J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar. Must have 3+ years of legal experience, including within a reputable law firm and/or in-house experience in a reputable technology company. Should have experience with drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts (e.g., for platform deals, partnerships/business development deals, inbound/outbound deals, ad deals, and service provider deals). Knowledge of privacy laws (US and international) including GDPR and CCPA and the interaction between privacy laws and contracts is required. Should preferably have Strong project management skills with experience leading complex, strategic, fast-faced company-wide projects from start to finish. Should preferably have excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills and experience working effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels (including senior management). Knowledge for organization, process, standardization, scaling, efficiency and operation is desired.
