Real Estate Attorney The candidate will provide legal assistance on a wide variety of residential real estate matters. Assist clients with the preparation and review of real estate purchase contracts, disclosures, and supporting documents. Review and analyze preliminary title reports and title documents, including encumbrances and restrictions affecting real property. Negotiate, mediate, and advise clients with real estate matters. Research and understand real estate laws and regulations at the local, county, and state level. Conduct legal research, draft memos, and provide legal advice in connection with real estate, litigation and general business matters. Work on a wide variety of business related matters, including real estate, litigation, employment, contracts, ethics, intellectual property. Draft legal articles for internal and external use (e.g., newsletters, newspapers, websites). Other duties as assigned by General Counsel and Management.

The candidate should have a JD degree with 2+ years of law firm experience. Experience in residential real estate preferred. California real estate license a plus. Experience with drafting contracts and contract negotiation preferred. Admission to the California State Bar and distinguished academic credentials are essential. Ability to simplify complex and comprehensive information is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with established customer service skills are essential.
