Corporate and Regulatory Counsel The candidate will consult on the legal issues and implications of potential business decisions and initiatives, providing counsel on general business and legal issues. Possess strong drafting skills, create contracts, product forms, and other documents as appropriate to support business divisions and to address corporate policy/compliance issues. Work with a cross functional team to facilitate proactive and compliant performance of all company objectives. Provide legal advice, strategies, and solutions to all business functional areas, including Market Management, Marketing, Underwriting, Actuarial, Operations/IT, Finance, PS&RS, Claims, and Human Resources. Perform other duties as assigned. JD degree from an ABA approved law school and licensed at least one U.S. jurisdiction required. 5-10 years experience preferred. Experience in reinsurance and/or health insurance preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. PC literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, and Lexis or Westlaw required. Good organizational and analytical skills required. Strong project management skills required. Strong legal research and analysis skills required. Strong business acumen and ability to analyze legal issues from the business perspective required. Ability to handle many, varied legal issues at the same time in a fast-pace environment required. Ability to effectively prioritize assignments in a high-urgency setting required.
