Corporate Counsel, Commercial and Market Access Contracts Duties: Lead the drafting and negotiation of contracts with commercial and government payors, specialty pharmacies, contract manufacturing organizations, distributor and logistic providers, patient hub service providers, data aggregation providers, and other clinical and commercial vendors. Provide advice and support to various business units within the Companys US organization, including: Market Access, Strategic Markets Insights and Planning Commercial Operations, and Supply Chain. Provide guidance to the Companys U.S. commercial organization on healthcare fraud and abuse risks when contracting with commercial, state and federal payers; trade channel entities, including pharmacies; and manufacturing, distribution and other clinical and commercial partners. Assist with the drafting of policies and procedures with respect to the Companys contracting process for managed markets and channel marketing and train business partners on appropriate processes. Manage and ensure on-time processing of commercial contracts from initial request through execution, create and report on metrics and KPIs, monitor performance, and contribute to the constant improvement of contracting processes. Assist in managing the overall quality control of contract management by providing direction in contract drafting, negotiation and compliance. Effectively evaluate commercial and legal risk with respect to the Companys commercial contracts. Support the US Legal Team in legal research, presentations and other projects. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies. Provide exceptional service to the Companys operating units.

Qualifications: JD Degree from ABA accredited law school Membership in good standing of at least 1 state Bar. 8+ years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience. Experience working in-house for a biopharma company strongly desired. Significant commercial contracting experience in the life sciences space. Experience drafting contract templates, playbooks and policies and procedures. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Solid understanding of the Anti-Kickback Statute, FD&C Act, HIPAA and US federal and state privacy laws, the False Claims Act, government pricing, and other federal and state fraud and abuse laws and regulations. Significant life sciences commercial contracting experience, including supporting contracting needs for market access, product manufacturing and distribution, channel marketing, patient support services (including HUB, PAP and copay programs), and government contracting (including Medicare, Medicaid, 340B and the Veterans Administration). Individual must be a team player, self-motivated, able to demonstrate a history of successfully resolving challenging legal issues and able to effectively deliver sound and clear legal advice in a business setting; Ability to work well with other Legal team members and build consensus among various stakeholders while maintaining a compliant approach. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Solid contract drafting and negotiation skills. Strong leadership and management skills. Ability to think creatively in confronting new issues. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Advanced knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in contract administration. Practical, clear and organized; strong attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and exercise sound business judgment. Proven planning skills and ability to think creatively in confronting new issues and to think strategically in order to improve current processes. Energetic person with high integrity who can represent the management team with professionalism interacting with peers, colleagues, industry leaders, and corporate executives. Team player with a positive, can-do attitude. Ability to complete tasks with little direction or need for supervisory follow-up, while having good judgment on when to seek guidance. Ability to work effectively across a matrix organization.
