Associate General Counsel, Real Estate

Associate General Counsel, Real Estate Duties: Review, draft and negotiate agreements such as leases, lease amendments, real estate purchase agreements and related agreements. Conduct due diligence for property acquisitions, including review of environmental reports, title matters, surveys, zoning, service agreements, etc. Provide legal and business advice and assistance on real estate and related corporate matters. Respond to questions on legal matters from other internal departments. Understand company operational requirements and translate those requirements into contract form. Manage outside counsel in complex real estate related matters and real estate related litigation.

Requirements: Must be a graduate of an accredited law school and a member in good standing of at least one state Bar. Significant real estate experience in a law firm and/or as an in-house attorney. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to resolve time sensitive issues and respond to requests. Strong entrepreneurial spirit with ability to develop appropriate processes to manage growth. Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure and rapidly changing environments. Hands on approach and high level of attention to operational execution. High energy level and demonstrated ability to guide multiple objectives and initiatives simultaneously. Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to convey legal advice clearly and effectively. Excellent legal, business and practical judgment with strong problem solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
