Corporate Counsel, Ethics and Compliance (US and Canada) The candidate will report to the Associate General Counsel, Ethics and Compliance for the Americas to help ensure the company's Ethics and Compliance Program in the US and Canada provides employees with clear policies, solutions-oriented counseling, and efficient systems to achieve their business goals consistent with the law and the company's expectations. Provide compliance counseling to internal business units and functions on a wide range of anti-corruption, regulatory and legal matters. Provide counseling to internal Business Units and Functions to ensure compliance with US fraud and abuse laws, such as the Anti-Kickback Statute. Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the company's Ethics and Compliance program (including disclosure requirements) and to prevent and detect conduct inconsistent with the company's policies and the law. Drive awareness regarding the importance of compliance, identify areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, and undertake corrective plans to resolve the issues. Develop, deliver, and oversee training relating to Ethics and Compliance and the company's policies and the law. Perform special assignments or projects, as assigned. Conduct or participate in internal investigations of allegations of potential violations of company policy or the law.

The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school (if law degree from outside US, add an LL.M. degree from an accredited US law school). Must have 6+ years of experience between private practice and/or in-house role in ethics and compliance. Knowledge of and experience with anti-corruption, antitrust and pharmaceutical and medical device product registration, licensing and promotion strongly preferred. Familiarity with the global framework affecting the healthcare industry, such as international laws governing healthcare, interactions with healthcare professionals, institutions and government officials, antitrust and competition issues desired. Additional regional language capabilities are preferred.
