Attorney VP, Global Privacy Head The candidate will report to the SVP, Chief Privacy Officer and manage a team including data privacy attorneys, the Data Protection Officer and the HIPAA Director. Will oversee the Company's global data privacy program, support development and implementation of data protection compliance programs, partner with the Chief Information Security Officer and IT security organizations as a valued advisor on cybersecurity and privacy matters, and be responsible for privacy advice across the enterprise. Will: Provide leadership for the company's privacy program. Possess an in-depth knowledge of global privacy and data security laws and regulations including HIPAA, state privacy laws, GDPR and international data protection compliance. Provide development guidance and assist in the implementation and maintenance of privacy policies and procedures. Monitor systems development and operations for privacy compliance. Support development and distribution of privacy training and awareness activities. Oversee internal and third-party risk and privacy impact assessment processes including procedures for vetting and auditing vendors for privacy compliance. Serve as privacy lead in incident response and coordination of breach notifications. Assist the General Counsel and law department with information security investigations, privacy related litigation, and privacy related contract provisions. Work with the Chief Information Security Officer and IT Security team to develop strategies for data security and privacy engineering. Develop and manage enterprise-wide procedures to ensure the development of new products and services is consistent with company compliance and privacy policies and legal obligations. Lead the implementation and revisions of data classification and other information management policies. Maintain current knowledge of applicable federal, state and foreign privacy laws, and monitor advancements in privacy technologies to ensure organizational adaption and compliance. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years experience in an appropriate field. Must possess the following: J.D. from an ABA accredited law school. 10-15 years of overall legal expertise (law firm or in-house) with 5+ years of direct privacy experience with a focus on complex privacy law matters and experience building, implementing, and maintaining a global privacy program. Admission to a U.S. State Bar. Experience with healthcare law, HIPAA, GDPR, data incident response, cybersecurity, compliance, and investigations is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and externally to vendors, clients, the media and regulators; experience with cross-cultural communications a plus.
