Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Collaborate with Human Resources department to provide practical and legal advice and counseling on a variety employment issues including hiring, performance management, employee relations, terminations, leaves of absences, accommodations, wage and hour, internal investigations, compensation, health and welfare benefits, contingent workers and diversity and inclusion matters. Coordinate with outside counsel on issues related to international employment laws and immigration matters. Develop, draft and implement workplace policies, procedures, and manager training in collaboration with Human Resources. Investigate, negotiate and resolve pre-litigation claims and administrative charges with Human Resources and senior leadership and serve as the specialist for employment litigation matters. Work to defend the Company in all employment and litigation matters. Developing strategy, reviewing pleadings and motions, participating in depositions, assessing potential exposure, coordinating with public relations, working with insurance carriers, providing requests for proposals and status reports to the Board of Directors. Assist in handling the efforts of outside counsel including controlling and reducing fees as well as consultant and other costs for employment and business litigation. Lead any document holds and discovery requests received by the Company, either in relation to pending or threatened litigation or third-party actions. Actively monitor changes to regulations to ensure the Company's policies and practices remain compliant. Assist with special projects that require legal input.

Qualifications: Law degree and 5 - 10 years experience practicing in the human relations employment law field; Litigation experience vital; experience with working in a highly regulated industry. Preferred: Experienced litigator preferred; some employment experience in non-U.S. locations and immigration matters preferred. Able to communicate clearly and concisely, with attention to detail, both orally and in written form. A written example will be required. Strong collaboration skills, client-focused, curious and adaptable. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage the use of outside counsel, including oversight of product quality and cost. Highly motivated self-starter with experience working under pressure, meeting deadlines, determining priorities, planning, prioritizing and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive manner. Professional attitude, appearance, and demeanor.
