Regulatory Counsel, Privacy and Corporate Compliance The candidate will oversee a strategic and comprehensive privacy program that defines, develops, maintains and implements policies and processes that enable consistent, effective privacy practices that minimize risk and ensure the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI), paper and/or electronic, across all media types. Will manage breach assessment and notification processes under HIPAA and other applicable federal and state privacy breach rules and requirements. Serve as a resource on state, federal, and international privacy laws and issue-spot privacy-related matters for all departments of the organization and for new ventures. Develop and deliver effective privacy training for the workforce. Support internal investigations involving compliance with Company policies and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Conduct ongoing compliance monitoring activities, including risk assessments and audits, in coordination with the organization's other compliance and operational assessment functions, including working with the Company s Security Officer and information technology group. Work with departments throughout the Company to develop and maintain a robust corporate compliance program. Perform other duties as needed, which may involve legal research, public policy advocacy, regulatory filings, internal policies and procedures, forms, and corporate governance matters.

The candidate should have a JD degree from an accredited law school along with 3-6 years of corporate legal experience. Must have experience in healthcare; experience with federal and state privacy laws, including HIPAA. Experience with other laws relevant to the healthcare industry, including anti-kickback rules, the False Claims Act, CMS payment and/or marketing requirements a plus. Medicare Advantage knowledge a plus. Experience with conducting internal investigations in a law firm or corporate law department a plus. Should have experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
