Senior Counsel and Head of Technology, IP, Third-Party Vendor Oversight, & Real Estate The candidate report to the Deputy General Counsel for Corporate Affairs, supervise a dynamic team of legal professionals and provide business-savvy legal advice and support for technology and IP matters, including in connection with the development of products, platforms, services and other strategic technology and IP initiatives. Day may include negotiating and drafting technology agreements, developing our patent portfolio, or advising senior management on a wide array of technology topics. Will be the primary interface between the legal and technical parts of the company, able to spot a wide range of legal and business issues that arise in strategic technology transformation initiatives. Will also help oversee vendor management program ensuring the most favorable value, compliance, and security terms. Will have primary responsibility for managing, strengthening, and developing company's innovation through its portfolio of IP assets, including identification of affirmative recovery opportunities. And, will oversee and manage the use of third-party IP within products and services. Provide support for corporate real estate function in their global leasing needs. In addition to substantive contributions, will be an effective manager for a team of four legal processionals. The candidate should have 10+ years of experience at an in-house or law firm practice with significant technology experience, including advising on a variety of customer and partner technology platforms. Must hold a Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited school of law and be admitted to at least one U.S. state bar. History of a strong technology or engineering background or degree and in-depth intellectual property knowledge is required. should preferable have significant experience with procurement or other large-scale cross-functional initiatives and have experience with real estate or supervising real estate transactions. Prefer if have some knowledge of and interest in software intellectual property and can arrive at creative solutions. Deminstrated oral and written communication skills tailored for the client as well as willingness to question the status quo and advocate for necessary change to improve internal processes. Experience working in international settings and functioning in diverse cultures is a plus.
