Counsel - Health Litigation The candidate will manage significant litigation matters in high-profile industry generating interesting legal work and an opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment while developing a personal practice and reputation with clients. In this role, will have the opportunity to develop as an in-house litigation professional by taking on substantive and administrative responsibilities raising candidate's profile within the Legal department. Will provide day-to-day legal support, and serve as a legal advisor to the Company on a variety of litigation matters, including general commercial litigation, consumer litigation (individual and class action), FOIA matters, and arbitrations, among other types of litigation. Work on third party subpoenas and handle pre-litigation disputes, in addition to managing a portfolio of active litigation matters and handle multiple cases at a time and partner with business units and outside counsel to prepare case strategies. Also be a part of the Litigation team at company that oversees litigation matters, including, arbitrations, government agency investigations, and commercial disputes. In the Counsel role, will develop, refine, and implement appropriate legal strategy for discovery, motion practice, and trial/hearing/settlement of cases or matters which will require a strong intellect coupled with practical business judgement. Must have experience communicating complex legal issues and have strong legal writing experience combined with exceptional organization skills with attention to detail. J.D. from ABA accredited law school preferred. 5 years litigation experience, preferably health care litigation and some in-house litigation experience is required.
