Compliance Counsel Responsibilities: Keep informed of new laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting Adaptive. Appropriately triage a heavy workflow, setting appropriate priorities with clients and delivering results within the reasonable agreed timelines. Substantial responsibility for ensuring appropriate interactions with healthcare providers and others, and reviewing and monitoring promotional materials and activities, as well as business strategies and tactics, associated with one of the Company's discrete therapeutic areas. Responsible for the periodic review, revision and supplementation of corporate and commercial compliance policies, procedures and monitoring to ensure they appropriately reflect legal and regulatory developments. Participates, with limited direction, in complex cross-functional internal teams reviewing business processes that affect the Adaptive Compliance Program. Advance a positive spirit of solution-oriented partnership and collaboration with internal clients, internal legal colleagues and outside counsel. Exercise mature and reliable judgment while enjoying the company's enthusiastic, informal and fast-paced environment. In conjunction with other compliance department personnel, implementing and overseeing a healthcare compliance monitoring and testing program for the US. Helps others apply laws and regulations correctly and ensure consistent adherence. Is relied upon for sound compliance guidance and applies a strategic approach to problem-solving.

Requirements: JD Degree from a nationally accredited law school. 5+ years prior in-house or law firm experience providing legal counsel on the laws and regulations relating to drugs or devices, demonstrating growth and ability to succeed. Must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to healthcare compliance in bio/pharma/medical device/diagnostics (includes Anti-Kickback Statutes, False Claims Act, Food Drug and Cosmetic Act, advertising laws and regulatory guidances, legal contract principles, AdvaMed Code, etc.). Strong verbal and written business communication skills: highly adept at synthesizing and summarizing complex and/or voluminous content into clear, concise and actionable communication or training. Strong influencing skills: proven track record and experience building and cultivating relationships with key partners and stakeholders across organizational levels. Must have demonstrated high EQ and client-service orientation; able to recognize and respond quickly and pragmatically to urgent situations and demanding clients. Ability to work under fast-paced conditions, comfortable making decisions and demonstrates good judgment. Strong process-orientation: has proven effectiveness in identifying, developing and implementing scalable/sustainable process and other continuous improvements to achieve organizational efficiencies and increase effectiveness. Excellent project management skills: can prioritize multiple tasks and goals to ensure timely, on-target and within-budget accomplishments. Committed team player while taking initiative to get results with minimal supervision.
