Corporate Counsel - Labor & Employment Responsibilities: Provide advice and counsel to HR and other business partners on hires, terminations, performance management, compensation, investigations, accommodations, reorganizations, and other employment-related matters. Responsible for the management, coaching, and development of paralegal Team Members. Collaborate with other attorneys in the Legal Department with respect to advice and counsel provided to HR and other cross-functional partners. Coordinate and drive completion of employment-related projects, including internal process reviews, new policy roll-outs and implementation, and training programs. Manage the drafting and revision of policies, procedures and other employment-related documents and agreements. Develop creative approaches to managing legal risks and resolving disputes. Participate in creation and delivery of trainings related to employment law matters, such as harassment training and other manager trainings on a variety of topics. Manage and drive strategy on pre-litigation and litigation matters. Required to learn company policies and procedures. Required to learn company safety rules. Duties may change; Team Members may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited school. Admission to State Bar in at least one State. 10+ years of experience in labor and employment law. Experience managing administrative agency matters such as claims filed with the EEOC, DOJ, DOL, and OSHA. Experience with state and federal employment law and advising and counseling clients on state and federal employment laws. Significant experience providing advice and counsel related to the employer-employee relationship, including compliance with federal, state and local laws concerning discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, workplace accommodations, unfair labor practices, wage and hour matters, compensation, recruiting, restrictive covenants workers compensation and other related torts. Some experience providing advice and counsel regarding ERISA and benefits, union avoidance, picketing, boycotts and injunctions, retaliation, ERISA and employee benefits, HIPAA compliance, immigration, and OSHA. Employment litigation experience and experience coordinating and driving projects to completion (including litigations). Prior managerial experience preferred. High level of professionalism, good judgment, and initiative. Ability to analyze complex contracts and transactions and propose creative and practical solutions, even in ambiguous situations. Ability to work well under pressure while consistently meeting time sensitive deadlines. Ability to remain organized, pay attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively contribute to a team environment. Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills. Ability to manage a team, both internally and externally. Strong supervisory, coaching, and training skills. Strong leadership ability and conflict resolution skills. Strategic planning skills. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with individuals at various levels. Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties.
