Associate General Counsel - Government and Regulatory Affairs Responsibilities: Provide strategic direction on legal and policy related matters, and advise on the formulation of company positions, in connection with federal and state administrative, legislative, and executive branch requirements and proceedings. Advocate before government agencies such as the FCC and NTIA, and various state PUCs. Understand the strategic direction of the company, and identify areas of law and policy where change should be effectuated. Manage federal and state proceedings to a successful resolution, overseeing outside counsel and consultants, and interfacing with relevant business leads when developing positions and advocating. Support litigation, other contested proceedings, and agency investigations/enforcement on regulatory matters as required. Advise on structuring the regulatory aspects of transactional matters, such as mergers and acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

Requirements: Ten years of experience if the field of government and regulatory affairs. Minimum 5 years of experience specifically with FCC-related proceedings and licensing matters. Ability to think strategically and advocate clearly and concisely, both in writing and when speaking. Excellent administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy, together with the ability to manage many simultaneous projects under pressure. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to ask clear, concise questions and elicit requisite answers from business partners and government and regulatory affairs colleagues as well as outside counsel. Ability to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment. Ability to operate effectively as part of a team and to consistently meet deadlines. Juris Doctorate degree or equivalent.
