Assistant General Counsel - Litigation The candidate will manage the internal and external resources and activities necessary to defend claims and lawsuits, including personal injury, product liability, warranty, dealer, commercial, and class action cases. This leader will provide legal counsel in support of recall and related post-sale activities, including support of TREAD regulatory requirements. In addition, the AGC will provide legal counsel in support of the Product Integrity Program, including development and delivery of PL/PI training programs and well as manage the Company's Records and Information Management function. Participates in all case preparation activities such as: develop case strategy, manage discovery and legal testimony, execute legal holds, represent the company in mediations and trials, make settlement and trial recommendations, set reserves and manage the relationship with product liability insurers. Oversee Product Integrity function and maintains an understanding of current product integrity issues and provides advice and training. Serve as primary counsel for all regulatory issues related to products, notably NHTSA and CPSC regulations, recalls and investigations, and TREAD regulations and activities. Manages the internal and external resources and activities necessary to support the company's records and information management group. Provides planning and strategic leadership to promote improvement of departmental operations, including professional development of staff. Bachelor's Degree Require, Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school required. Should be licensed to practice law in the United States, a member in good standing with a State bar. Must have at least 8 years of related experience managing litigation within both law firm and corporate legal settings. Additionally, approximately 5 years of management experience is also highly desired. The ideal candidate's background should highlight. Should have Business acumen, including financial and strategic capability.
