Labor & Employment Staff Attorney The candidate will investigate and defend state and federal charges of discrimination, wage/hour audits and other regulatory complaints, including preparation of position statements and other responsive documents. Will conduct internal investigations related to employment law and corporate compliance matters. Assist with triage and management of reports and inquiries to anonymous reporting line. Support senior attorneys in research, advice and counsel related to employment laws and regulations. Support senior labor attorney in labor relations matters such as the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, handling of union grievances, labor arbitrations, and ULP charges, implementation of union avoidance best practices and respond to labor organizing campaigns. Support the drafting of employment, settlement and separation agreements. Assist in development and presentation of education and training materials to HR and business stakeholders. Assist in employment-related aspects of company special projects such as mergers/acquisitions, as well as reductions in force and location closings (e.g., severance, WARN Act). Support preparation of materials for quarterly reporting up of employment law and compliance matters to senior executive leadership and Audit Committee.

The candidate should have 3-5 years of employment law experience. Juris Doctorate degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school required. Law firm experience strongly preferred. Must have experience investigating and defending state and federal charges of discrimination, wage/hour audits and other regulatory complaints, including preparation of position statements and other responsive documents. Experience conducting internal investigations and/or managing anonymous reporting lines is required. Must have exceptional written communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills needed. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
