Attorney, Litigation & Investigations Duties: Under the direction of Litigation Counsel, the Litigation & Investigations Attorney oversees the investigation and handling of litigation, investigation, and claims files. Overseeing and managing outside counsel in a wide variety of litigation and investigation matters, developing strategy, managing discovery, monitoring and managing legal expense, and anticipating future litigation trends. Provide sound evaluation of liability and damages issues, and practical assessment of strategies and risks. Time involves working with business units to provide appropriate internal legal support and practical and timely advice to mitigate risk. Assists in strategy and management of a variety of complex litigation and investigation matters. Supervises and provides hands-on oversight of outside counsel, experts, and vendors. Manages and coordinates discovery, including litigation holds, information gathering, e-discovery, document collections, and privilege reviews. Represents the company and its employees in meetings and negotiations and in responding to inquiries from various third parties; assists in preparing company employees for deposition. Assists with budgeting and bill review. Assesses business and legal risks. Anticipates future litigation trends. Identifies opportunities for efficiencies; coordinates with colleagues and vendors on process improvements. Assists with internal investigations. Assists with drafting, updating and implementing legal policies and procedures and conducting trainings. Working with business units to provide appropriate internal legal support and practical and timely advice to mitigate risk. Supports business units in connection with agreement preparation and negotiation and general legal advice. Assists with special projects as needed.

Qualifications: JD degree from an ABA accredited law school; top 20% and/or law review and/or clerkship preferred. Admission to state bar required. 5+ years' legal experience and handling litigation and/or investigation matters, particularly matters involving products liability, consumer protection, government investigations, antitrust, and/or securities. Experience should include managing all aspects of discovery (e-discovery, document collections, privilege reviews, etc.). 5+ years of large law firm experience preferred. Pharmaceutical/life sciences industry experience preferred. Proficiency in a body of information required for the job e.g. knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP/GLP/GCP, Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, etc. Strong understanding of litigation process. Basic contract terms and conditions. Strong computer skills. Ability and desire to join and fully participate in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and dynamic organization. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Superior legal and business judgment and client-counseling skills. Detail-oriented. Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities on a regular basis. Problem-solving skills. Business acumen. Timely decision-making. Collaboration skills. Conflict management skills.
