Executive Director, Corporate Counsel, Global Technical Operations The candidate reports to the Executive Vice President, and General Counsel. Serve as the lead legal resource in support of the strategic legal direction as well as day-to-day legal counseling of the GTO team, including Quality and associated compliance matters. Supervise other tech-ops lawyers and contract coordinator supporting the Global Tech-Ops Team. Identify proactively and manage legal and risk issues associated with manufacturing infrastructure and operations, through participation in leadership team meetings and other regular interactions with senior leaders on the GTO team. Negotiate, draft and review contracts between Incyte GTO and third parties in connection with the purchase of raw material, facilities services, warehouse / distribution services, capital / construction projects, utilities, and other manufacturing and quality-related agreements. Provide ongoing legal advice relating to supply chain and other distribution activities, current Good Manufacturing Practices and regulatory compliance, as well as legal advice relating to implementation of robust quality management systems. Support the goals of the GTO compliance committee and provide strategic direction; coordinate and support the Chief Compliance Officer on broader corporate matters where relevant. Assist with tech-ops due diligence associated with potential business development deals. Engage and interact directly with scientists, researchers, and operations personnel to discuss current and future programs and projects in order to provide appropriate legal contracting support and advice. Work as part of a team with other members of GTO and the legal department to provide legal support to manufacturing sites. Provide ongoing legal support to the U.S. Commercial team, as necessary. Support other legal department projects and initiatives, as necessary. The candidate should have Law degree and member of Bar or licensed to practice as attorney. Should have 10 years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including providing legal support regarding manufacturing processes for drugs and biologics and related quality management systems. Must have demonstrated written and oral communication and analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have strong organization skills; able to juggle multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must have ability to work efficiently and effectively in team environments and across organizations. Should have strong interpersonal skills; able to interact professionally and effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
