Corporate Counsel, Employment Law The candidate will be the key legal advisor to the company on employment law issues, specifically providing subject matter expertise to the Human Resources team on a broad range of issues that affect the complex working environment of a large technology company. Provide day to day legal counsel and advice across a variety of areas including employee relations, performance management, compliance, dispute resolution, leaves of absence and accommodations, wage and hour issues, internal investigations, compensation and benefits, and contingent workforce issues. Develop and implement employment policies to ensure best practices and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Partner with cross-functional teams, including the Executive, Legal and HR teams, to provide strategic, business-oriented employment law guidance for successful execution of Company initiatives. Investigate and respond to federal and state administrative complaints, including EEOC and local agency charges. Provide communications and trainings relating to new federal, state, and local legislation and regulations; work with business stakeholders to integrate new procedures and revised policies. Partner with the HR Business Partner Team to conduct ongoing trainings relating to employee relations best practices, and investigation techniques and compliance. Oversee internal audits of company's employment policies and practices and HR compliance. Provide counsel and guidance on immigration and workplace safety matters. Lead or assist in management of litigation-related to employment matters, and oversee and manage outside counsel with regard to disputes and litigation in the various areas of practice, including: Title VII and similar laws; affirmative action; disability access and accommodation; employee benefits; harassment and discrimination; unfair competition and trade secrets; unfair labor practice charges; wage and hour claims; wrongful terminations; and reductions in force. Provide legal guidelines and support regarding the company's contingent workforce and agency workers. Support merger and acquisition transactions and related integration of employees. Collaborate with the HR Business Partner Team to generate and implement training on HR and employment law topics.

The candidate should have Juris Doctorate degree required and currently admitted to a state Bar. If not licensed in Missouri, will be expected to acquire licensure to the Kansas or Missouri bar under its rules for in-house counsel. Must have 5+ years of experience in employment law. Working with Human Resources Management. Working with C Level Executives. Strong Analytical Skills.
