Assistant Compliance Counsel

Assistant Compliance Counsel The candidate will collaborate to assess risk and implement programs to promote integrity and compliance. Will ensure company compliance with policies, state and federal laws and regulations. Assist with updating risks assessment and developing risk mitigation strategies and methods to operationalize compliance. Assist with researching, drafting and updating corporate compliance policies and standard operating procedures. Conduct role-specific compliance training, update and develop additional training content. Stay abreast of promulgation of new laws and regulations, compliance and legal trends/developments and enhance business practices. Work with outside counsel when necessary and appropriate. Meet with relevant business partners, coordinate schedules to meet deadlines, maintain calendars. Perform other related duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate. Assist with compliance investigations as necessary.

The candidate should have a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent), Law Degree and 1 year experience. Must be Licensed (or about to become licensed) to practice law in one or more jurisdictions. Must have strong interpersonal skills. Ability to identify underlying issues in complex situations is required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential.
