Senior Corporate Counsel- Comcast/Media Duties: Provide transactional legal support to the Americas Service Provider Comcast and Media account teams, including drafting and negotiating contracts for direct and channel sales, RFP/RFIs, resale, nondisclosure agreements, software license agreements, evaluations, cloud and XaaS contracts, flexible consumption models, dispute settlements and alliance agreements. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior sales management and other supporting functions, by deeply understanding Company's Cable & Media and Service Provider strategy and priorities. Analyze and help to resolve business and legal issues through clear, practical legal guidance. Participate on global, cross-functional teams working on key continuous process improvement initiatives across Legal Sales and Marketing. From your vantage point in Cable & Media, advise on business policies and practices and research and present on key legal/contract issues affecting Company's larger Service Provider business. Qualifications: Detailed knowledge of commercial, contract and business law. Working knowledge of intellectual property and data protection law. Understanding of and experience applying revenue recognition and other financial principles common to a US-based publicly traded company is a plus. The ability to read and understand complex contracts. The ability to draft language for a broad range of issues and contracts, including but not limited to licensing, warranties, indemnities and limitations of liability. Significant experience negotiating business transactions, including complex business transactions. 10+ years of experience working in one or more companies with a strong software and services pedigree and will be familiar with the operational, legal and business issues presented by selling products, software and services, particularly in a Software as a Service model. Demonstrated ability to negotiate and draft complex agreements to a specific goal with little supervision. (Drafting test will be coordinated to all finalists for this role). Creative mindset with the ability to use design thinking and other tools to innovate and problem solve. Ability to operate efficiently in an environment heavily dependent on e-enabled tools and communications systems, including high proficiency in and effective use of basic desktop applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Working knowledge of Company's technology, industry and strategic direction.
