Managing Counsel & AVP, Contracts Responsibilities: Prepare and review contractual arrangements. Develop and ensure compliance with internal contract review and tracking processes. Advise internal business clients on third party due diligence and strategies to optimize contractual outcomes for the organization. Develop, maintain and monitor procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Provide day-to-day legal counseling on operational and transactional matters. Collaborate with General Counsel in analyzing complex transactions and to identify legal issues with cross-divisional impact. Provide legal advice on plan, hospital, and provider contracting issues?across the organization. Drive the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes. Perform multiple time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with General Counsel to engage and manage outside counsel. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: JD Degree from an accredited law school required. 3+ years of experience in corporate health care transactions at a law firm advising health care clients or in-house setting, preferably within health care industry. Solid understanding of issues facing health care transactions, including compliance with federal and state regulations preferred. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders. Excellent time management and leadership skills. Strong communication skills and the capability to communicate effectively through all levels of the organization. Ability to remain flexible and self-motivated in a fast paced environment. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
