Senior Legal Counsel -Labor and Employment

Senior Legal Counsel -Labor and Employment Responsibilities: Provide timely guidance on all labor issues for the Americas region (US, Canada, LATAM) including: Employment contracts, Employee issues and disputes, Employer obligations (including compliance with applicable employment regulations), Workplace investigations, Reorganizations. Negotiate settlement agreements. Draft and maintain labor-related template agreements. Undertake compliance reviews of employment-related policies and workplace handbooks. Be an active and contributing member of the Ethics & Compliance Committee. Interact with outside counsel and manage outside counsel spend.

Qualifications: JD Degree or its equivalent. Strong academic record. License to practice law in a US jurisdiction (IL preferred). 7+ years of experience practicing law. Law firm labor law experience. Some in-house experience preferred. Background in the technology industry is a plus. Able to draft and communicate verbally in English; other languages, especially Spanish and Portuguese, are a bonus. Knowledgeable about relevant law. A passion for the law and for promoting efficiency in business. Good communication, responsiveness and negotiation skills. Strong business acumen. Attention to detail, but concise. Ability to adapt to a changing work environment. Agile work habits.
