Senior Litigation And Employment Counsel

Senior Litigation and Employment Counsel The candidate will be managing class and individual commercial and employment litigation for the Company and its subsidiaries (substantive areas include general commercial, employment, consumer, landlord/tenant, intellectual property including copyright, trademarks and patents and construction disputes.). Providing regular reports to the Vice President - Litigation and relevant management of all litigation and related matters. Assisting outside counsel in responding to discovery and developing defense strategies including consideration of early resolution. Reviewing and assist in the preparation of procedural and substantive motions. Assisting in the preparation of witnesses for deposition or trial. Attending depositions of Company witnesses. Attend meditations, arbitrations and trials. Responding to non-party discovery for the Company and its subsidiaries. Assisting the Vice President - Litigation in quarterly reporting responsibilities and reporting to auditors as those relate to litigation for the Company. Assisting the Senior Employment Counsel in internal investigations, responding to EEOC claims and counseling the Company and its subsidiaries on employment issues including leaves and accommodations. The candidate should have an Undergraduate degree and a JD degree from an accredited top law school. Admission to New Jersey Bar (or Admission to other state bar with NJ Limited License for In-House Counsel). At least 10 years of combined relevant commercial litigation experience including both law firm experience and in-house litigation management experience. Prior in-house litigation experience is required. Employment litigation and counseling experience strongly preferred. Should have excellent negotiation, drafting, analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple matters in a timely manner.
