Employment Counsel Responsibilities: Work directly with VP, Senior Corporate Counsel and the General Counsel and other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in providing legal advice and risk mitigation across a broad range of employment legal matters (employee relations, terminations, discipline, wage and hour compliance and disputes, investigations, leaves of absence, employment-related agreements/documents, harassment/discrimination issues, and disability/reasonable accommodations issues). Provide legal advice and service to management and Human Resource professionals on employment practices and compliance-related matters. Utilize knowledge of the law and experience to analyze facts and situations to effectively assess risk and make recommendations that are in the best interest of the Company. Provide employment law support for HR internal investigations, including partnering on strategy and witness interviews. Manage and oversee outside counsel (including global) handling employment litigation matters. Support and hold/preservation processes regarding employment-related legal matters, including drafting of legal hold notices and related communications. Counsel and make recommendations regarding responses to employment-related subpoenas. Represent company in employment matters in front of various federal, state and/or local agencies, as well as in response to attorney demand letters. Make recommendations as to action needed, including recommendations on discipline, in connection with HR investigations. Monitor legislative developments to ensure continued compliance with national, state, and local employment labor laws and regulations. Work with the compliance team to manage the Company's Ethics & Compliance hotline. Continuously develop understanding of legal risks and advise business stakeholders accurately of legal and other risks associated with proposed activities.

Qualifications: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and current bar membership in at least one US state is required. Preferred experience: 7-10 years combined full-time experience in labor and employment law and general litigation with a top-tier law firm and in-house environment. Excellent knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (including ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.). Prior experience with Employment based litigation, general commercial litigation and internal investigations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience in dealing with people at all levels inside and outside of a company or firm and proven relationship building skills. Goal and process oriented, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks; experience and judgment to plan and accomplish objectives in efficient manner. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
