Counsel, Employment & Benefits The candidate will provide legal guidance and counsel regarding employment and employee issues and serve as subject-matter expert within this area. Draft, negotiate, and revise as appropriate independent contractor/extern/intern/temp agency agreements and other employment related agreements. Develop and implement employment policies, procedures and guidelines, adding, reviewing and revising as appropriate. Advise on US and work with external counsel to advise on global employment laws, including maintaining policies, updating templates, and compliance with applicable law(s). Review issues raised by the Recruiting Team, Human Resources, Business Partners, employees, and leadership. Collaborate with other corporate functions to resolve issues and mitigate risks. Lead and/or assist with internal investigations through every phase. Develop and deliver training and communications programs to educate employees and management and promote ethical and compliant culture. Conduct risk assessments and evaluate effectiveness of compliance program elements; recommend and implement improvements based on such evaluation. Assist with a range of other Legal Team projects from time-to-time. Must have J. D. from an accredited US law school in the US and membership in at least one state bar, preferably Massachusetts or New York. Should have 7+ years experience as an employment attorney with a nationally or internationally recognized law firm and, preferably, some in-house experience. Must have experience and exposure to a wide variety of employment and benefits matters across multiple jurisdictions including, preferably, internationally. Strong functional use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Must have strong written and oral communication skills International employment experience in APAC or EMEA nice to have.
