Senior Counsel- Privacy and Regulatory The candidate will focus primarily on privacy and regulatory matters and will work with internal clients within Company to support Company's business and products. Will have a proven track record of advising companies on data privacy and data governance matters. Provide legal support and advice on data privacy, data security, compliance and regulatory matters. Assist in developing and maintaining Company's privacy programs, and related policies, procedures, and materials. Collaborate with and advise colleagues across the company to drive compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations, such as HIPAA and CCPA. Draft, maintain and update external privacy policies and privacy notices and internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations. Develop and conduct general and role specific privacy trainings. Stay abreast of and advise on regulatory and industry developments, and monitor changes in privacy and security laws and regulations. Assist with customer and internal privacy assessments, privacy compliance reviews and investigations. Review and revise a variety of agreements relating to data privacy, including vendor and customer agreements, and provide privacy subject-matter support for customer agreements and vendor management. Collaborate with internal teams to scope and perform periodic data privacy hygiene assessments, mitigation and remediation, including data privacy by design and default, accountability and compliance monitoring, and the mitigation of privacy and security risks. Research, analyze and advise on healthcare, consumer protection and other legal and regulatory issues, relevant to the development and commercialization of products and features. Participate in special projects and additional duties, as required.

The candidate should have J.D. with Bar admission from a top tier law school. Must have 5+ years of experience at a law firm or in-house in a sophisticated commercial environment. Demonstrated experience with advising SaaS-based clients or health care or health IT companies on other legal and regulatory matters is also highly desirable. should have significant knowledge of and experience with HIPAA, HITECH, CCPA and other state and federal privacy laws. Must have familiarity with health care relevant legislation and standards for the protection of health information and patient privacy. Proactive with deadlines with ability to prioritize conflicting demands is required. Should have ability to analyze and resolve challenging legal issues and ability to communicate sound, clear, practical and concise advice in a business setting. Experience working with SaaS-based technology companies or healthcare companies is a plus.
