Vice president, Asst General Counsel, Ethics and Compliance Officer The candidate will responsible for advising on all elements of the Company's ethics and compliance program globally. Principal Responsibilities, Oversee and direct Avnet's enterprise-wide ethics and compliance program, Maintain and update Avnet Code of Conduct and compliance policies, Interface with regional business and other functional leaders around the world to communicate current legal requirements regarding compliance, Provide guidance to senior executives on compliance issues as appropriate, Maintain an ongoing monitoring program to measure the effectiveness of Avnet's compliance program and to identify successes and as well as areas for further improvement, including relating to trainings, reporting and investigations, Respond to suspected violations of Company policy, investigate and recommend appropriate disciplinary action and other remedial measures, Provide consistent, reliable and accurate reports to Avnet Executive Board and members of the Board of Directors on the state of compliance at Avnet, Job Level Specifications, Produce quality work product that reflects the key legal issues at stake. Excellent written and verbal skills, analytical and critical thinking abilities, communication/presentation skills and negotiation skills. Fluency in one or more languages in addition to English beneficial but not required, Demonstrated adherence to high standards of integrity and professional conduct. Maintain a positive attitude, show maturity and emotional stability, and be flexible to new ideas. Adapt to new demands. Respond appropriately to potentially stressful situations., Build positive and productive relationships with clients by understanding the business and providing advice in a way that builds trust and collaboration, Strong project management capability, with a bias for well-informed action, Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an ability to inspire trust and confidence with internal and external stakeholders with different cultural backgrounds, Typically requires a minimum of 12-15 years experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department of a multinational corporation, Experience managing legal professionals (e.g., attorneys, paralegals, contract managers) required, Experience managing global compliance investigations, Advanced university degree in law (e.g., J.D. or LL.M. in US, LL.D, LL.B or LL.M outside US) from accredited school are required. Must possess active license to practice law in location where based or otherwise qualify to lawfully serve as in-house counsel in location where based are required.
