Contracts Counsel The candidate will responsible for providing legal advice and support in all aspects of commercial contracting across the Pharma Services business on either a global or regional basis. The present role will have an initial focus on supporting the Viral Vector Services and Microbial Manufacturing Services businesses within Pharma Services, which provide development and clinical manufacturing services in the fields of cell/gene therapy and live biotherapeutic products. Directly drafting, reviewing and negotiating client development and manufacturing services contracts; supporting and advising the Contracts Management team in reviewing and negotiating contracts; advising on various other commercial agreements (e.g., procurement, consulting arrangements, &c.); contributing to the development of contract templates and playbooks for use across Pharma Services; working to resolve client relationship issues as may be assigned, and such other duties as assigned. Will work cross-functionally with Division and Group level Legal, Commercial, Sales, Business Management, Finance, Operations, Quality, and Contracts Management to negotiate and close contracts that meet company policies and legal requirements and achieve profitable growth for Pharma Services. Ensure that the ease and effectiveness of the commercial contracting process is a market differentiator for Pharma Services in customer experience and that vendor/supplier contracts strive to maximize cost savings, reduce risk, and ensure continuity of supply from critical vendors. Demonstrated ability and experience drafting/reviewing contractual documents. Experience delivering on project commitments. Experience leading negotiations and closing deals. Demonstrated commitment to accountability and trust. Proven ability to develop collaborative and productive relationships both internally and within third party organizations. Demonstrated success working within complex organizations. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Strong attention to detail and sound administrative abilities. Demonstrated proficiency with the latest MS Office products, including Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, Word, Excel, and related electronic tools for editing, documenting, tracking and communicating (including remote working). JD (or equivalent law degree). 5+ years experience as a licensed attorney, including substantive experience drafting, reviewing, revising and negotiating commercial contracts, strategic alliances and other business transactions, preferably in the life science sector are required.
