Counsel, Intellectual Property (IP), Domestic and Foreign IP Responsibilities: Counsel and provide legal guidance on general IP matters, including trademark, copyright, and UDRP. Strategize and advise business units on best practices for global brand protection. Conduct trademark clearance searches and reports, trademark prosecution, and portfolio management including domestic and foreign IP. Leading investigations and negotiations to resolve 3rd party IP dispute. Translate complex domestic and foreign IP matters to members of business, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Creative Teams. Draft and negotiate various contracts, including assignments, licenses, and royalty agreements. Resolve complex business and legal issues. Qualifications: Conferred JD Degree from a accredited law school in the US and be a member of the Massachusetts or New York Bar Associations, and/or eligible for them. 4+ years of intellectual property Lawyer experience is an absolute requirement. Provide legal counsel on general IP matters, including trademark, copyright, and UDRP to internal teams. Ecommerce law. Direct experience engaging in and resolving. trademark clearance searches and reports. trademark prosecution experience. portfolio management including domestic and foreign IP. investigations and negotiations to resolve 3rd party IP disputes. licensing matters. Lead strategy and advise internal business units on best practices for global brand protection. Ability to translate complex domestic and foreign IP matters to members of business, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Creative Teams. Ability to work independently and/or within a collaborative team structure. Highly organized with critical attention to details, along with good time and priority task management. Strong communication skills in two parts: 1.) very strong writing skills utilizing the rules of English grammar; 2.) verbally clear, concise, and grammatically correct oral (speaking) communication skills in English. Affable and collaborative teammate who thrives within an inclusive team and company where individual choices are respected and supportive. Positive, self-motivated individual with a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to continue to learn and incorporate coaching and instructions into daily tasks and assignments. Nice to have: CPG experience. USPTO license.
